Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and suitably experienced individual to work as a Bank Support Worker within the services in Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Our wards are looking for a compassionate and person- centred experienced Healthcare support worker with an ability to work in a flexible manner to meet the demands and needs of the service. The successful applicant would be expected to work as part of the team undertaking the assessment, care and treatment of patients experiencing an acute mental health crisis, working in a recovery-orientated manner towards the ultimate discharge of the patient. There will be opportunities to work over a 24/7 rota which includes weekend and bank holidays. People with a lived experience of mental health issues are strongly encouraged to apply. Main duties of the job Meadowfield Hospital Meadowfield is an award winning, purpose built acute mental health unit in Worthing, West Sussex offering person-centred and holistic care to the people of Adur, Arun and Worthing. Meadowfield has 34 mixed gender beds for people of working age (Maple and Rowan Ward) and 18 beds on Larch Ward which is for people over the age of 65 all of which operate with open doors.

• Work with the multi-disciplinary team to establish and deliver a therapeutic programme of care for our patients.
• Undertake care duties for patients on the ward.
• Report patients condition to qualified staff
• Document care delivery in patients notes.
• Implement individual patient care plans
• Participate in meetings, training and other work related forums.
