Job summary A rare and exciting development opportunity has arisen in the Sussex Eating Disorder Service. We are seeking to recruit passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic people to join our Specialist Sussex-Wide Adult Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) as an Eating disorder practitioner. Due to service development we are expanding the service provision across Sussex and are currently looking to add to team resource in West Sussex and Brighton SEDS works with people aged 18 and over with Eating disorders and supports recovery through Evidence Based Interventions. You will be joining a service of highly skilled and experienced professionals from Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Psychological Therapy and Assistant Psychologists, Occupational Therapy, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Graduate MH wellbeing workers, Dietitian, and Social Work with support from an outstanding administration team. Our team is responsible for covering all of Sussex, operating as a hub and spoke model with East Brighton Mental Health Centre as the main team hub. We provide treatment virtually and also face to face. To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID. Main duties of the job The Service provides interventions to support those with a diagnosed Eating Disorder in the community and prevent a hospital admission. You will identify and deliver relevant treatments and interventions; liaising where appropriate with families, carers and the professional network. You will support the provision of evidence informed groups and individual reviews as well as assessing the mental health of the person already open to the team. This is a developmental post, you will join the team as a band 4 support worker and will develop into the role of band 5 eating disorder practitioner once you have received training in NICE informed therapies. You will provide evidence based NICE informed therapies such as SSCM, CBT-T and ESM groups. Training for these will be given to the right candidate.

You would review progress of existing meal/ support plans and provide Psychoeducational support as indicated in the review meeting.
