Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Apprenticeship (Data Pathway)

You will be key in compiling data from multiple systems to tell stories and to answer vital business questions such as “What do higher performing teams have in common?” or “Why do our employees have a four year itch?”

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify business problems and present insights to influence actions.

  • Develop skills in Data Engineering, Visualisation and Business Analysis in a complex business environment

  • Work as part of a team to deliver data products used across the whole business.

  • Collaborate with business users to ensure you are delivering the insights they need.

  • Produce reports to provide insight and recommendations for how to improve the business operations, learning and business processes, and what drives business outcomes.

 

The Programme:

Through our degree apprenticeship you’ll be making the most of your talents, getting to understand engineering from the ground up; and doing so with the help of one of the biggest and best names in the industry.

 

As a Data and Digital Apprentice you will be studying towards a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions with Warwick University following the Data Analyst pathway. For the duration of this four year programme you will combine university studies with practical application, working within our data team.

 

This programme is delivered via a block-release model whereby you will attend an average of six weeks at university per year - remote support will be provided online, as well as workplace support with both your technical and practical development. You will be given one day per week in which to focus on your studies. For the other four days you will be working in the business, applying your university learning in a real-life environment.

 

Who we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about problem solving, technology, digital transformation and the future of data and analytics (i.e. automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning).

 

Successful candidates will show strong delivery skills and be highly organized, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.

 

You should be proficient in Microsoft Office products including ability to use lookups, pivot tables and multiple variable formulas in Excel. As well as, being familiar with data visualisation such as patterns, trends and correlations.

 

You should have excellent analytical skills including the ability to organize and analyse large data sets, detect and correct errors, interpret results to various audiences, and take responsibility for data quality as well as exceptional attention to detail.

 

You will also need:

  • A Minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points at A Level (grades BBC) including grade B or above in Maths and at least 1 other STEM subject, or an equivalent qualification, e.g. BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM in a relevant subject.
  • You will also require 5 GCSEs grade 9 - 4 (A-C) including English and Maths and an additional STEM subject.
  • Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the four-year programme.

 

Please note, assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held between February and May 2024. Induction week for all Graduate and Apprentices will run from Monday 2 September until Friday 6 September 2024.

As standard, all successful candidates must possess the permanent right to work in the UK, and will be required to go through Government security clearance at BPSS Level prior to starting with us and then to obtain full Security Clearance (SC) in line with the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) requirements. 

 

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.  In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.  As part of the vetting process you will be asked to provide evidence of your identity, eligibility to work in the UK, time spent abroad over the last 5 years, as well as employment and / or educational history.
