About Us
We are a family-owned, multi-sited local business with more than 25 years experience working on tractors, ride-on-mowers, cherrypickers and so much more.
We take on a variety of jobs, from small minor repairs to complete ground-up restorations, we pride ourselves on our quality and customer service.
Vacancy Description
Day to day activities will vary, however they will include the following:
- Develop skills and proficiency on all agricultural machinery
- Dismantling and cleaning vehicles prior to work being carried out
- Routine maintenance and servicing
- Assisting our qualified technicians and teams as needed
- Record keeping of works carried out/completed
- Assist with maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Future prospects
A full time position will be made upon completion of the apprenticeship.

- We are a relatively rural company and work within the rural sectors, so own transport is advised.

What Apprentices Will Learn
- Environmental, safe working and legal requirements
- Use of specialist tools and equipment
- Thermally and chemically joining metals and components
- Advanced technical and engineering principles of land-based engineering machinery, plant and equipment
- Service, maintenance and repair principles and practices for complex machinery, plant and equipment
- Accessing, interpreting and applying technical data
- Diagnosing faults and verifying machinery
Apprenticeship Qualifications
- Apprenticeship Certificate
- Level 2 Diploma in Land-based Engineering
- Level 1 maths and English (if applicable)
Delivery Model
One day a week delivery at Plumpton College. In college will be split between 50% theory and 50% practical to allow learners to gain a great understanding for both skills and knowledge to support them in their job role.
