About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and proactive SG&A Accountantto lead process improvements across our month-end close and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to enhance reporting accuracy, drive accountability, and support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies within month-end and FP&A processes.
  • Partnering with SG&A budget holders to challenge assumptions and influence decisions that drive cost reductions.
  • Maintaining accurate financial data and delivering clear, actionable reporting to support business decisions.
  • Leading the end-to-end preparation of monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget for SG&A spend, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Managing month- and year-end close processes and associated reporting for SG&A spend.
  • Reviewing, approving, and managing journal entries and account reconciliations—including payroll and direct labour accounting—ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and applying current accounting standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power Query and Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively across the business.
  • A proactive, transformation-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge, particularly in SG&A, payroll, and cost accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and audit processes.
