Reed Accountancy are currently assisting an established client in the Burgess Hill area in the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join their small team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day functions of the accounts department.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage daily operations within the accounts department, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Handle daily cash postings and perform bank reconciliations.
- Assist the Accountant and Management team with ad-hoc duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience and a good working knowledge of all accounting routines, including stock checks and month-end reconciliations.
- Good knowledge of accounting packages and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Enthusiastic, well-organised, and diligent.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines with attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
