Full time - 35 hours per week (hybrid working after probation)

Based just outside Haywards Heath (car owner)

£26,000 - £29,000 per annum, plus further benefits and parking

Tony Alan Recruitment are looking for a Finance Assistant to join an established £50m+ turnover business based just outside the Ardingly area on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts payable experience, or someone studying AAT or a graduate looking for their first role.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Process supplier invoices and credits.
• Ensure invoices have a corresponding purchase order.
• Liaise with internal budget holders to resolve invoice queries.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Manage supplier queries internally and externally.
• Prepare and assist with supplier payment runs.
• Maintain up to date and accurate supplier record information.
• Monitor outstanding supplier balances, following up on missing invoices or payments.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end preparation.
• Assist in providing documentation / information for year-end audit.
• Assisting with sales ledger on a ADHOC basis.
• Monitoring emails received into the account's inbox.
• Taking calls and answering queries where possible.
• Assisting with office administration

Key requirements:

• Proven understanding and knowledge of purchase ledger
• Good understanding of process, procedures and accounting standards (month end)
• AAT highly advantageous
• Car owner due to location
