Architectus are seeking talented Part 1 / Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technologists to join our growing practice.

Company Description

Based near Worthing station, Architectus is a well-established, friendly team of experienced architects and technologists with a strong reputation for delivering mixed-use residential new build and refurbishment projects across London and the south-east of the UK. We are a growing practice that focusses on quality and technical excellence, good office atmosphere, and pride ourselves on encouraging staff to develop and grow with the practice and be involved in all aspects of a project from initial phases through to handover. We work on all RIBA stages providing early feasibility studies right through to handover.

Role Description

You will be working alongside experienced project leads helping to deliver BIM projects to a range of clients, from small developers to Tier 1 contractors. We work in both Revit and AutoCAD, are at the cutting edge of software capability and are keen to teach new staff correct modelling technique.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the production of detailed planning/technical drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Support the development of design concepts, presentations and reports
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage deadlines, switch between tasks, and adapt to new workflows and tools.
  • Regular interaction with the wider design team, preparing correspondence to assist in the progression of a given project.
  • Engage with the practice’s CPD programme and keep up to date with industry trends, regulations and best practices.

Experience

  • 2+ years of practice-based experience.
  • Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, and RIBA Work Stages.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite, although training can be given.
  • Effective time management to complete work to set deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with the project team, and wider consultants.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude to problem solving.
