Description

• Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
• Respond to internal and external finance-related queries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the retail industry is advantageous.
