Assistant Business Manager

Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Assistant School Business Manager. The successful applicant will be supporting three schools - Varndean School and two local primary schools - and as such will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong aptitude for multi-tasking and prioritisation. This is an exciting time to join us and a great opportunity to be involved in the next stage of development of this very strong team.

The role is 37 hours per week, 45.05 weeks per year. NJC scale 5 point 13 (£29,064) to point 17 (£31,022) pro rata starting salary £25,179.

Varndean School is an 11-16 school with around 1500, set in a picturesque south coast location in the vibrant and diverse city of Brighton and Hove. Varndean is a Good (Ofsted 2022) and well-established school already, we have made rapid progress over the past couple of years and have no intention of resting on our laurels. The potential here is immense and the successful applicant will play a role in supporting our students to develop World Class Learning. Varndean is an excellent place to work.
