Are you passionate about supporting children who require additional behavioural and emotional support to succeed in the classroom?

Academics is recruiting for a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Brighton from September. This rewarding role will involve providing dedicated support to a pupil with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively with learning, develop self-regulation strategies, and build confidence within the school environment.

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team, you will play a key role in supporting the child's social, emotional, and academic development.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working with children or young people with behavioural, social, emotional, or additional learning needs
Be calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenging situations
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Be confident implementing strategies to support positive behaviour and engagement
Work effectively as part of a supportive school team
