IT Business Manager – 6 months contract

What you'll be doing:
This is an opportunity for an experienced IT business manager to join the solution delivery team to lead IT business management processes on behalf of the solution delivery director. IT business management and governance processes include establishing & maintaining team strategic plans, objectives & roadmaps, demand/supply management, reporting & KPI, risks & controls performance, budget and value delivery monitoring, agile delivery monitoring processes, team engagement & communications.
• Work with key individuals across the solution delivery and broader IT & change team to create strategy for, establish, maintain and continuously improve business management processes and operations for the solution delivery department
• Monitor solution delivery demand management processes from BAU, product and project demand value streams, providing governance and decision-making recommendations to optimise allocation of resources and support leadership in prioritisation decisions.
• Establish and operate governance of solution delivery metrics, reporting, scorecards, key performance indicators (KPI) and service level agreements (SLA).
• Establish and operate governance of solution delivery risk management and control performance monitoring and attestation/reporting into 2nd line risk governance processes.
• Co-ordinate and facilitate 3rd line/Internal audit and external audit activities across the solution delivery function including monitoring findings, follow up actions and associated mapping to control performance.
• Custodian of combined solution delivery team engagement and communications plan including combined function capability & development objectives.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong background in IT business management disciplines or similar business operations roles.
• Supplier Management and Stakeholder Management
• Manage suppliers and ensure their contributions align with solution objectives.
• Coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency.
• Drive Planning requests with the Finance Department
• Building capability using SAFIA+ and leading on engagement surveys and people agenda for the function
• Experience working within both Agile delivery and waterfall change delivery, particularly in demand management and PMO type roles.
• Experience of reporting and dashboard production leveraging tools (e.g. PowerBI). Excel & PowerPoint
• Experience of Dev-ops toolsets and PMO toolsets (e.g. Clarity) for managing demand and monitoring delivery.
• Experience of operating IT governance including operating cadence, reporting and decision support
