About the Role:
As an Alarm Monitoring Operator, you will be a key player in our dedicated control room, ensuring the safety and security of our clients. This is a full-time, onsite position with a shift pattern that includes a 4 on, 4 off rota. You'll alternate between two day shifts (7 am - 7 pm) and four night shifts (7 pm - 7 am).
The role will have a base in the Durrington Head Office. The Alarm Monitoring Operator will be responsible for monitoring of on-site security to Southern Water sites located along the coast of Southern England.
To protect their assets, colleagues, and visitors by providing a safe & secure working environment. To ensure that the monitoring of their CNI sites meet the SEMD and company standards.
The post holder will have the following duties but not limited to those outlined below:
- Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the department as set by the SSM.
- To create manage & develop security best practice to protect all site operations.
- To complete an agreed set number of rostered months
- To investigate poor performance and provide a written report to the SSM.
- To undertake CCTV review as and when requested by the needs of the business.
- To supervise the production of company access cards
- To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
- To be able to prepare and issue reports on CCTV and alarm activity.
- Assist with remote site access.
- To liaise with external services when required to escalate in accordance with the security plan.
- Ability to raise technical issues with SW IT and with the operating systems provider.
- To ensure that any escalations outside of the security team follow an agreed pathway in accordance with the agreed security plan.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Ideally, you should have 2-3 years of control room experience.
- Qualifications: SIA CCTV and DS licence qualifications are essential.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
