CLEANING AREA MANAGER
About the Role
Are you ready to take the next step in your cleaning career? We’re looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Cleaning Area Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has worked as a Cleaning Supervisor or Mobile Cleaner in the facilities management, hospitality and housekeeping industries and is ready to grow into a role with more responsibility.
Our sites are primarily office buildings where we usually provide evening cleaning commencing around 6pm. They are based in Crawley, Brighton and the surrounding area up to Redhill. This is predominantly an afternoon – evening role (could be up to 10pm some evenings), there will be exceptions to this and occasional weekend work. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of these sites, ensuring they are well maintained. You will be supported by our General Manager and our team of supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
Supervise and support cleaning teams across multiple sites, including recruitment, training, and performance management. - Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service delivery. - Operational Oversight
Ensure cleaning standards are consistently met or exceeded across all contracts. Conduct regular site audits and inspections. - Scheduling & Resource Management
Assist in the organisation of staff rotas, manage absences, and ensure adequate coverage for all sites. - Health & Safety Compliance
Ensure all cleaning operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies. - Reporting & Administration
Undertake stock takes of all consumable items on sites and reorder as necessary. Maintain accurate records of site visits, audits, staff performance, and client feedback. - Problem Solving
Respond promptly to client concerns or operational issues, resolving them efficiently and professionally. - Cover Cleaning
We have a cover team but sometimes you might need to cover sites for periods of leave or sickness where required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in the cleaning, facilities, hospitality or housekeeping industries or similar.
- Hands on approach and willingness to help where necessary
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively
- Good understanding of cleaning standards and health & safety regulations
- Proactive and organised
- Good standard of spoken and written English
- Full UK driving licence
- A DBS Certificate is required for some sites so will be applied for
Salary range
- £30,000 - £33,000 per year
