In this role, you will be responsible for leading the field delivery of all customer-side leakage activities, directly contributing to our annual leakage reduction targets. You will manage a dedicated team of technicians and specialist contractors, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to achieve our goals. Managerial experience is essential, as you will have 13 direct reports to support and manage.
Your extensive background in water networks and supply will be crucial in contributing to the company's long-term leakage and smart water network strategy. This is a chance to move beyond day-to-day operations and help shape our future.
You will play a vital role in ensuring that all health and safety protocols are strictly upheld by both internal teams and contractors, as well as guaranteeing that all regulatory inspections meet compliance requirements.
A robust understanding of leakage policy and strategy is essential, as you will be at the forefront of implementing our customer-side leakage policy and devising a new repair model. Your experience in customer experience and insight will be key as you liaise with service providers for our most vulnerable customers, such as Housing Associations, to ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) are met and repairs are completed within agreed timeframes.
Your base office will be in Snodland but you will be expected to travel to our Sussex and West patches too as required. You will receive a £6,254.61 car allowance to allow easy travel across the regions.
- Responsible for the implementation of the proposed customer side leakage policy and the contract management of the proposed customer side leakage framework and providing field support to internal and external customers in relation to customer side consumption
- Devise and establish the customer side leakage repair delivery model
- Lead the delivery of all customer side leakage field activity as part of the company annual leakage strategy
- Performance manage field delivery teams including specialist contractors to ensure reduction targets are reliably achieved
- Contribute to the longer term company leakage and smart water network strategy
- Act as the technical leakage specialist for the area and in support of the wider company
- Manage customers’ supply pipe issues, consequently delivering excellent customer service and avoiding costs or fines related to poor service delivery.
- Review operational processes and input into improvements to aid efficiency
- Ensure Health and Safety practices, policy and procedures for both staff and contractors are adhered to upholding the highest standards.
- Ensure Regulations Inspections are carried out as required and targets for compliance met.
- Manage and develop the Plumber/Provers and CSL Administrator to maximise effectiveness, productivity and efficiency in service delivery
- Contribute to the annual opex budgets for all customer side leakage activity, as defined in the Leakage Strategy.
Skills/Experience:
- Technical expert in leakage with a strong knowledge of water network and supply operations.
- Self-motivated, committed and organised with excellent knowledge of leakage related systems, software and technologies including use of Google packages etc.
- Full, clean driving license
- Customer service experience

Compensation package:
£37089 - £47,640 + car allowance of £6,254.61
