Summary:

Are you a skilled problem-solver who can deliver results through others?

Do you have a talent for managing partners and holding them accountable to high standards?

We're looking for a Delivery & Assurance Lead to join our team as we roll out our Smart Meter project.

This is an opportunity to oversee the entire installation process, ensuring our partners deliver on their promises and that every installation is safe and accurate.

If you're ready to make a significant impact by managing performance, ensuring quality, and driving continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivery & Planning: You’ll oversee the whole smart meter installation programme, making sure everything aligns with our strategic plan. You'll also handle the nitty-gritty of operational planning, from managing stock to scheduling jobs with our partners to get the best out of our engineers and routes.
  • Partner Management: You'll be the main point of contact for our installation partners, building strong, collaborative relationships. This means regular performance reviews, holding partners accountable if they fall short, and driving initiatives to improve performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: You'll take ownership of our Quality Assurance (QA) framework, conducting on-site and remote audits to make sure installations meet safety standards and regulations. You’ll also be responsible for investigating any quality failures, incidents, or complaints to get to the root cause and put preventative measures in place.
  • Reporting: You'll develop and maintain performance reports and dashboards to give our Smart Metering Manager a clear view of how we’re doing on delivery, partner performance, and QA outcomes. You’ll also analyse data to spot trends and find opportunities for continuous improvement across the whole installation process.

What you'll need:

Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • You'll need solid experience managing third-party contractors or installation partners, including setting expectations, running performance reviews, and holding them accountable to KPIs and SLAs.
  • You should be great at analysing data, identifying trends, and creating insightful reports.
  • Strong communication skills are a must, as you’ll need to build relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
  • We also need someone who's a natural problem-solver, able to quickly diagnose issues and find effective solutions.
  • A good grasp of commercial principles and contracts is essential for managing our partner relationships and ensuring we’re getting value for money.
  • Given the focus on quality and safety, a meticulous approach and attention to detail is essential.

It will be a bonus if you have (desirable):

  • A background in Business, Management, or Engineering.
  • A proven track record in an operational or project delivery role.
  • Experience with quality management frameworks and conducting audits
