- Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Join our growing machinery and equipment business in West Sussex as a Delivery Driver. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of machinery, parts, and equipment to our customers. You will be the face of our business on the road, embodying our commitment to excellent customer service.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver and collect machinery, equipment, and parts using company vehicles, including 3.5 tonne flatbed vehicles.
- Safely load, unload, and secure equipment for transport.
- Plan delivery routes to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Provide professional and helpful service when interacting with customers.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with company health and safety procedures.
- Represent the business positively while attending customer sites.
- Assist with stock movements and goods-in processes when required.
- Support the Service Manager with ad hoc yard duties during quieter periods or as business needs dictate.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Support other departments when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Experience towing trailers would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
- Practical and hands-on approach with a willingness to assist in the yard when required.
- Flexible approach to occasional early starts, late finishes, or longer-distance deliveries.
Desirable Experience:
- Forklift licence.
- Experience within agricultural, construction, plant hire, horticultural, or machinery-related sectors.
- Good geographical knowledge of Sussex and surrounding areas.
