Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead – Child Exploitation & Multiagency collaboration

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative DDSL/CCE/CSE to join our team of dedicated and committed professionals as soon as possible.

The hours of work are 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Thursday inclusive and Friday 8am-3.30pm, term time only (47.36 weeks per year). This is a fixed term contract and will terminate on 31/08/2026.

The salary scale for this post is LGA Scale 6 Point 19-22 currently £32,061-£33,699 full time equivalent. The pro rata salary range is £29,200-30,692 per annum. The actual starting salary for the successful candidates will be £29,200 per annum.

Experience of working with young people is essential. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight for safeguarding interventions related to child criminal and sexual exploitation (CCE/CSE) across designated secondary schools. The role focuses on proactive, trauma-informed safeguarding, early intervention, and multi-agency collaboration to support vulnerable students. The ability to liaise with external agencies, relevant services and professionals to ensure effective referrals and follow-ups to meet the individual needs of the young person(s) is essential.
