Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county - from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more.

About the role

A strategic leader responsible for supporting the Head of Operations in the development and delivery of all client services to drive the continued growth and sustainability. To lead services to ensure they are financially secure, delivered safely and effectively and meet all relevant legislative and safeguarding requirements.

To drive a co-produced approach to bring clients, staff, and communities to the heart of Turning Tides services and to develop and grow partnerships across West Sussex to the benefit of clients who use Turning Tides services, utilising a 'Systems Leadership' approach.

The role will have oversight of various services and may vary dependant on funding changes and services developments. It will deputise for the Head of Operations in their absence.

About you You will
  • Contribute to the overall corporate strategic planning process and deliver and set goals set out in Turning Tides business and organisational plans.
  • Lead and develop service provision across a range of residential, hub and outreach services.
  • Work in close partnership with key stakeholders within West Sussex, including other voluntary and statutory sector services, to promote and deliver Turning Tides' services to achieve the best outcomes for clients, with reference to service level agreements.
  • Manage to a financial budget and to have full awareness of all budgets under your area of responsibility.
  • Develop, inspire, and lead a high performing team with ambitious goals and clear accountabilities.
  • Abide by all Turning Tides' policies and procedures and regulatory requirements at all times.
