Design Technology Technician –

• NJC GRADE 5, points 7 - 8 £26,403 - £26,824 (£22,747 - £23,110 pro rata)
• Full-Time, Term Time only + 4 weeks 8.00am – 4pm (3.30pm Friday) 37 hours per week with 30 minutes for lunch

This role combines responsibilities from multiple technician profiles to support the Design Technology (DT) department in a secondary school. The technician will provide technical assistance, maintain equipment, support teaching staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• GCSE standard education or equivalent Level 3 qualifications in a relevant technicalfield.
• Experience in handling DT syllabus materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of appropriate use of specialist equipment and ability to communicatethis effectively.
• Experience in budgeting and resource management.
• Ability to resolve problems related to resources and practical learning activities.
• Strong communication skills with pupils and adults.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
