Experienced mortgage administrator required for a small but thriving mortgage and lending brokerage based in Ditchling Common to provide administrative support to our mortgage advisers.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact between clients, lenders, and other parties like solicitors and estate agents, answering queries and providing status updates
- Setting up files by collecting, verifying, organising and analysing all necessary supporting documents, such as proof of income, credit reports, and identification to enable completion of the fact find for the advisers
- Providing supporting documents to lenders
- Guiding clients through the mortgage process
- Managing mortgage pipelines through to completion
- Updating and maintaining databases accurately
- Working to a deadline
- Telephone answering and diary management
- Working with advisors to ensure all activities meet compliance and regulatory requirements as set by our network
Skills/qualities required:
- Previous administration experience essential
- Experience in the mortgage industry is strongly preferred
- Analytical with great attention to detail
- Strong focus on compliance
- Well organised and methodical
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Conscientious
- Self-motivated
- Work well in a team
Hours: Full time preferred but willing to be flexible with a minimum of 28 hours per week required
Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 (full time) depending on experience
Holiday: 28 days plus public holidays (pro rata if part-time)
Pension: as per government guidelines
