Financial Accountant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to work closely with the Finance Director, taking ownership of core financial reporting and playing a key role in strengthening the finance function.

The Role

You'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial information, with a particular focus on month-end, reporting, and balance sheet integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full involvement in month-end close processes
• Balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Posting journals including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
• Handling bank and key account reconciliations
• Supporting revenue and rebate accounting (accruals, analysis, reporting)
• VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements
• Assisting with financial reporting, including external submissions
• Supporting improvements to financial controls and processes

The Candidate

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong financial accounting experience in a busy environment
• Advanced Excel skills (comfortable handling large volumes of data)
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership mindset
• The ability to process work quickly without compromising quality
• Experience in a manufacturing or operational business (desirable)
• Exposure to tools such as Power BI, SQL, or reporting systems (advantageous)
