Job Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-being
  • Implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences
  • Monitor and record residents' progress, behaviours, and any changes in health status
  • Promote a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
  • Support residents in engaging with community activities and social events
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver holistic care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to organisational policies and procedures


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a support worker, care assistant, or similar role is desirable
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience to support individuals with diverse needs
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
