Join Ultra Ice, a well-established, family-owned food manufacturing business supplying major retailers, food service providers and commercial customers.
We're looking for a Food Technologist to join our Technical Team and play a key role in keeping our products safe, legal, authentic and consistently high quality.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across food safety, quality, BRCGS, auditing, product development and continuous improvement.
THE ROLE
Working closely with our Technical Manager, you'll be involved in:
- Product development, factory trials and product launches
- Maintaining product specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting our BRCGS Food Safety systems
- GMP, hygiene and internal compliance audits
- Environmental swabbing and product testing
- HACCP, CCP and technical record monitoring
- Investigating complaints and non-conformances
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Customer and third-party audits
- Food safety and hygiene training
- Continuous improvement across the site
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about food safety and quality.
You'll need:
✔ Food Science qualification or relevant food manufacturing experience
✔ Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP
✔ Internal Audit Certification and audit experience
✔ Excellent attention to detail
✔ Strong communication and organisational skills
✔ Good Word and Excel skills
✔ The ability to work independently and as part of a team
BRCGS, frozen food, retailer technical or environmental monitoring experience would be an advantage.

💷 £26,000 – £31,000 depending on experience
⏰ Full-time | Minimum 40 hours | Flexible between 8.00am–5.30pm
