The role and how you will make an impact We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our team in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will provide physiotherapy services within our acute orthopaedic stream, supporting acute surgical wards, paediatrics, ICU, and the emergency department.You will work with a diverse patient cohort including joint replacements, trauma, neurosurgery, foot and ankle surgery, shoulder surgery, and paediatrics. Collaboration with the orthopaedic stream leader and physiotherapists across Cabrini Malvern and Brighton will ensure consistent, high-quality care across the service.This is a 7-day acute orthopaedic service, and you will be required to work regular weekends-typically a Sunday-Thursday roster-and rotate across both Malvern and Brighton sites.We offer professional development opportunities, senior supervision, and the ability to further develop your clinical, education, and leadership skills. You will also provide support and guidance to Grade 1 physiotherapists, AHAs and physiotherapy students. Key responsibilities include: Deliver evidence-based care to acute orthopaedic, spinal surgery and emergency department patients Support service initiatives that enhance rapid discharge and improve patient flow Engage with orthopaedic surgeons and contribute to stakeholder relationships Develop and review clinical protocols Provide guidance and support to junior physiotherapists, AHAs and students About you We are looking for a motivated Grade 2 Physiotherapist with at least two years of acute or orthopaedic experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.You will have A Physiotherapy degree. Current registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist. Professional development and clinical experience in acute orthopaedics and neurosurgery Strong team approach and good communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team.To view the full position description click .
