Yeomans, one of the fastest growing dealer groups in the UK, is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Senior Management team as the Head of Business for the Yeomans VW passenger car and VW Commercial vehicle site at Indian Queens in Cornwall. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can drive the growth of our New and Used passenger car and commercial sales departments, whilst also managing and motivating the aftersales teams for a smooth operation across the board. With our recently purpose-built, state-of-the-art showroom, you will have an excellent environment to deliver exceptional customer service and elevate the business to new heights.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire the team to achieve industry-leading customer satisfaction levels.
- Drive sales growth in the New and Used passenger cars and commercial vehicle departments.
- Manage and motivate the aftersales teams - overseeing the Parts, Service and Workshop teams.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the dealership's performance and market presence.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards and deliver award winning brand scorecard performance.
- Foster a culture of high employee retention and engagement, creating an environment where people thrive and develop.
- Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to streamline operations and maximize profitability.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the automotive industry, preferably as a Head of Business from a large-volume dealership.
- Strong sales background, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- Excellent understanding of dealership operations, including sales, finance, service, and parts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of high performance and engagement.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding experiences.
- Strategic mindset and ability to develop and execute business plans to drive growth.
- Financial acumen and ability to analyse data to make informed decisions.
