Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, impact driven maintenance and logistics leader to make their mark.

We need someone like you to develop and embed our entire planned maintenance and water supply logistics support.

This role covers it all: you'll create and run our new preventative maintenance function, oversee central inventory and vital stock control (including critical spares), and manage our alternate water logistics (our tanker fleet). You'll also be responsible for maintaining our facilities and grounds. If you have a maintenance and logistics background, this is the perfect leadership challenge

You'll have high levels of autonomy and the chance to lead complex, company wide improvement projects that will secure our future operational resilience and improve the lifespan of our key assets. It's a role for someone who values purpose and the opportunity to lead a high performing function.

Main responsibilities:

  • Accountable for providing and managing facilities on behalf of SEW including office and operational site buildings and grounds.
  • Accountable for Alternative Water management for internal and external customers in response to planned and reactive water supply issues.
  • Accountable for stock/stock control including critical spares in a cost effective manner.
  • Handling the movement and storage of supplies needed by SEW.
  • Responsible for the creation of a preventative maintenance team within Water Supply operations ensuring agreed processes and procedures meet the needs of Operations and working with all internal key stakeholders to improve the lifespan of key assets.

You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • Significant experience and/or relevant qualifications in a relevant field, such as: Logistics and supply chain management; Business administration; Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in managing logistics operations, such as: warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
  • A deep understanding of logistics processes and best practices.
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve logistics efficiency
  • An experienced operational manager with a background in delivering improvement projects. Ability to lead complex improvement projects across multiple production, distribution and central operational and asset teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to ensure that logistics operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Strong financial budgeting & and cost management experience.
  • Positive, flexible and adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude to overcoming challenges in a demanding environment.

Compensation package:

Starting from £85,000 + £9,844 car allowance + senior management bonus
