About the Service

We are recruiting dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join a small, specialist residential service in Worthing, supporting 28 residents living with a range of dementia and cognitive conditions, including Alzheimer s Disease, Parkinson s Disease, and Schizophrenia.

This service provides high-quality, person-centred care within a warm, homely environment, allowing staff to build meaningful relationships with residents. Care is delivered using Dementia Care Mapping, alongside modern, evidence-based approaches to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The focus is on creating a supportive, inclusive setting that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life for every resident.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit care team, delivering compassionate, hands-on support to residents. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring individuals receive the highest standard of care in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality personal care and daily living support
  • Assist residents with mobility, nutrition, and hydration
  • Monitor wellbeing and report any changes to senior staff
  • Support residents with dementia in a calm and respectful manner
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care or support role (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential)
  • A caring, compassionate, and reliable nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting people living with dementia
