In a nutshell

As our Inflight Entertainment Content Manager, you’ll be the subject matter expert responsible for the selection, acquisition, and delivery of TV programming for Virgin Atlantic’s monthly onboard entertainment offering, Vera. This is a high-profile, customer-facing product available across the entire fleet and a key differentiator for the brand.

You’ll ensure Vera remains industry-leading, commercially sound, and aligned with current and future trends in media consumption, while being delivered on time, to brief, and within budget. You’ll also support the management of Virgin Atlantic’s Technical Service Provider (TSP).

Day to day

  • Curate and acquire TV programming for Virgin Atlantic, ensuring monthly line-ups reflect Vera’s brand values, customer needs, and evolving viewing behaviours.
  • Balance mainstream appeal with distinctive content, using ratings, trend analysis, and global TV industry insights to maintain a competitive edge
  • Screen and shortlist potential TV content, while effectively managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Manage commercial and financial processes, including budget control, purchase orders, accurate financial records, and the review of several external TV contracts each month for rights, T&Cs, and internal sign-off.
  • Ensure compliance and delivery accuracy, completing approvals and documentation on time and meeting technical requirements for all content.
  • Track rights and consumer viewing habits, adapting strategies to align with industry trends and IFE release windows.
  • Ensure all content is correctly licensed and compliant with usage rights.
  • Support operational and supplier management, including issue tracking, quarterly reviews, timelines, and media build budgets.

About You

We’d love for our successful Inflight Entertainment Content Manager to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven expertise in TV content acquisition and rights management, with hands-on experience negotiating deals and navigating complex licensing models.
  • Solid understanding of digital delivery workflows, ensuring seamless content ingestion and technical compliance across multiple platforms.

  • Deep-rooted media industry knowledge, backed by practical experience and awareness of evolving trends in TV and entertainment.
  • Genuine passion for media with an eye for curating compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences.

It would be great if you also have a basic understanding of inflight entertainment systems.
