The Role:
- Assembly of high-quality electro-mechanical instruments in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conducting testing, calibration, and quality checks on completed products.
- Repairing instruments and occasionally installing customer-owned units both on-site and at customer locations.
- Performing fault-finding and troubleshooting using circuit diagrams and test equipment.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Proven background in electro-mechanical assembly and testing, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience working with precision-engineered mechanical components.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to use a range of hand and power tools.
- Competence in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Skilled in fitting and shaping metal parts, including small-bore pipework.
- Ability to assemble wiring looms from diagrams and perform cable preparation, crimping, and soldering.
- Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical test instruments (e.g., multimeters, micrometers, Vernier gauges).
