Job Purpose
To assist roofing operatives in carrying out reactive roofing repairs and maintenance works on domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. The role involves supporting roofers with the safe completion of repair works, maintaining site safety, handling materials, and ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist roofers with reactive repair works to various roof types, including pitched, flat, slate, tiled, and metal roofing systems.
Load, unload, transport, and prepare roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
Set up and dismantle access equipment, ladders, barriers, and safety systems in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Remove damaged roofing materials and clear debris from work areas.
Carry out basic roofing labouring tasks under supervision.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times.
Conduct site housekeeping and waste disposal in accordance with company procedures.
Work safely at height and comply with all Health & Safety regulations.
Assist with emergency call-outs and temporary weatherproofing works when required.
Communicate professionally with customers, tenants, and colleagues.
Complete paperwork, timesheets, and photographic records as required.
Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are kept clean and serviceable.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a construction or roofing labouring role.
Understanding of basic construction site health and safety practices.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling activities.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence (preferred or essential depending on company requirements).
Desirable Requirements
Previous roofing experience.
CSCS Card.
Working at Height Training.
Manual Handling Certificate.
First Aid qualification.
Experience using power tools and construction equipment.

Salary: TBC per annum (depending on experience and location)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, with additional overtime and emergency call-out work as required.
Salary range
- £27,000 - £28,000
