Lead Architectural Technician

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Lead Architectural Technician to work for a great conpany in West Sussex. The Lead Architectural Technician will be working as part of a team, from inception to completion through provision of design concepts, technical drawings and assisting in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This will include production of associated documentation, as-built drawings, involvement in design changes and design support

Salary: up to 45K + excellent company benefits

Location: Hybrid working 1 day office based - East Grinstead, West Sussex

Flexi working to include a combination of working from the office, from home and on site. Some UK travel and overnight stays

Lead Architectural Technician duties:

• Managing a team of 2
• Produce high quality concept and technical drawings in Autocad and Revit suitable
  for planning, tendering and construction on a variety of project types including new
  build, refurbishment and groundworks.
• Support the Development Managers on projects including obtaining Building
  Regulation approval through the preparation of drawings and supplying technical
  information.
• Produce concept plans to allow review of future projects.
• Produce planning drawings for projects in liaison with the Planning and Development
  Managers.
• Submit and manage planning applications as necessary.
• Monitor and review current construction specifications to ensure continued compliance
• Update as built drawings as required to maintain an up to date library of drawings.
• Providing Autocad drafting assistance
• Site visits when required

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience working in a similar management, Lead Architectural Technician / Architect Lead type role
• Staff - people management experience
• Strong track record as a UK based Architectural Technician.
• Competent Autocad operator
• Excellent knowledge and experience of Building Regulations.
• Effective communicator, both verbally and written
