Lead Architectural Technician

We are looking for a Lead Architectural Technician to provide essential technical support within our Clients Estates Department's Development Team. This role is pivotal in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards in design and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Line manage the Architectural Technician team (2 Technicians), assisting the Principal Development Manager on major works development projects, including setting priorities and managing workloads.
  • Produce high-quality concept and technical drawings using Autocad and Revit for planning, tendering, and construction across various project types.
  • Manage change procedures to ensure the continuous evolution of specifications.
  • Maintain and update a library of standard details and construction specifications to ensure compliance with regulations and meet internal expectations.
  • Support Development Managers in obtaining Building Regulation approvals, producing planning drawings, and managing planning applications.
  • Engage with external suppliers and consultants as necessary and undertake site visits to support project execution.
  • Provide Autocad drafting assistance across different departments as directed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • HND or higher in a building-related qualification.
  • Proven experience as an Architectural Technician within the UK.
  • Highly skilled in Autocad with a strong understanding of Building Regulations and relevant building legislation.
  • Experience with Revit is advantageous.
  • Ability to produce detailed technical construction drawings and manage planning applications.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing own workload and collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work from the office, home, and on-site, including travel and overnight stays as required by the role.

Salary range

  • £45,000 - £47,000
