Litho & Digital Print Finisher

Role Summary
As a Litho & Digital Print Finisher you will be responsible for the final production and finishing stages of both lithographic (offset) and digital print jobs. You will operate, maintain and calibrate finishing equipment (such as guillotines, folder/stitchers, laminators, die‐cutters, creasers etc.), ensure the output meets quality standards, coordinate with production and press teams and ensure jobs are completed on time for dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and maintain print finishing machinery used for both litho and digital print jobs (e.g., folding machines, stitchers, guillotines/trimming, laminators, die‐cut/crease machines)
- Perform quality control checks on finished products – check for correct trimming, folding, binding, laminating, creasing, and packaging to ensure high standards of presentation and accuracy.
- Interpret job tickets or work orders and understand finishing instructions, specifications, materials and quantities.
- Collaborate with press, pre-press and production teams to ensure finishing schedules are met, job flow is smooth and any issues (e.g., machine faults, material jams, quality defects) are escalated and resolved.
- Maintain equipment – perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance, setups, adjustments and ensure machinery is in safe working order.
- Apply health & safety, housekeeping and good manufacturing practices in the production area (e.g., safe handling of materials, keeping area tidy, reporting hazards).
- Assist in stock/materials control for finishing supplies (folding materials, binding supplies, laminating film, blades, etc.) and ensure minimisation of waste and efficient use of materials.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience (ideally 2-5 years) working in a print finishing environment (litho and/or digital) with finishing machines such as folders, stitchers, guillotines, laminators etc.
- Familiarity with both lithographic (offset) and digital print finishing technologies and their specific requirements.
- Good mechanical aptitude, comfortable setting up and adjusting machines, troubleshooting basic faults.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset (trimming accuracy, fold correctness, binding integrity).
- Able to interpret job sheets, work orders or finishing instructions and ensure finished output meets specification.
- Good teamwork and communication skills – able to coordinate with production, press and dispatch teams.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
