Machine Builder’s Assistant / Workshop Helper Available Immediately

Location: Manor Royal Business District, Crawley Hours: Full Time Position, Monday to Friday, Day Shift

We are a small, growing manufacturing company looking for a motivated hands-on helper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone practical, reliable, and eager to learn, even if you don’t have previous machine-building experience.

General Duties will include:

• Assisting with the assembly of automation equipment (packaging machines, conveyors, etc.)

• Helping prepare and organize parts (cutting, drilling, grinding, cleaning, etc.)
• Supporting the machine builders with fitting motors, belts, pneumatics, and

other components
• Basic workshop tasks such as tidying, preparing machines for shipping (decals,

cleaning, crating, etc.)
• Loading/unloading deliveries and organizing parts in the workshop
• Opportunities to assist on customer installations (with senior technicians)

What we’re looking for:

• Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and workshop safety (training provided)
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions
• Mechanical interest/aptitude is an advantage, but not required

Salary:

£25,000 – £29,000 per year, depending on experience.
