Maintenance Engineer (Early Shift)

Monday to Friday Early Shift (6:00am to 3:00pm)

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a range of industrial machinery and site services.
This role offers a varied workload with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective repairs.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, minimising downtime and disruption to production.
- Support machinery installations, upgrades, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Analyse equipment failures and identify root causes to improve reliability.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Work closely with production and technical teams to support operational performance.
- Assist with spare parts management and maintenance inventory control.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition (Essential)
- Refrigeration or F-Gas experience.
- Facilities or building maintenance experience.
- Welding experience (MIG/MMA).
- IPAF or Forklift qualifications.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Food manufacturing experience.
