Balfe’s Bikes PAC Warehouse & Store Picker Assistant Job Description:

Reports to the Bikes & PAC Manager & Store Management at the weekend

Below is an overview of the role of the PAC Warehouse Assistant role within Balfe’s.

The PAC warehouse assistant role will be responsible for receipt of goods from suppliers, the processing of goods into warehouse stock, and the preparation of goods out, both via our own transport network to stores and for home delivery. The role will handle both PAC (parts, accessories, & clothing) items, and bikes. This role will also support the store operations by assisting with picking as required.

Working Pattern:

• Weekend (Saturday & Sunday):
  Picking goods for store requirements and acting as the designated “hatch picker” to support shop floor operations.

Responsibilities & Duties include:

• Receipting goods using warehouse management systems
• Picking and preparing outbound goods for store transfers
• Picking and packaging goods for home delivery via couriers
• Weekend picking to support shop floor requirements
• Acting as hatch picker on Saturdays and Sundays
• Following all manual handling guidance
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Assisting in other areas of the warehouse/business as required
• Adhering to all company Health & Safety guidelines

Experience & Qualifications:

• Unit Picking
• Inventory Control
• Documentation Skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 25 Kgs
• Previous warehousing experience
• Forklift Experience & knowledge of bikes is desirable
