PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Piers Meadows Recruitment are looking for a band 6 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to work in Brighton:

• We require a B6 OT or Physio for cover in the A&E department
• Discharge Hub/Transfer of Care Hub.
• Weekend shifts 8-6.

Responsibilities of the job:

Utilising their knowledge of the community services and clinical skills the post holder will work closely with the A&E staff to ensure seamless, safe and effective discharge plans are in place for the person to return back to their usual place of residence as soon as possible, preventing admission to hospital.

The post holder will have excellent clinical decision-making skills that will support the A&E staff in the management of discharging patients into the community and community beds. The post holder will support with the induction of new staff. The post holder will attend MDT meetings, and support A&E staff with complex discharge functions as required. To provide training and education to A&E staff around what support community services can provide and support in discharge management & processes. To ensure records and data are maintained in a timely manner and in line with information governance and data sets required for the service.
