Academics / Term Time Teachers are recruiting for a resilient and committed Behaviour Mentor to work full time (Monday to Friday) within a school in Lewes.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide pastoral and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and positively engage within the school environment.

You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to implement behaviour strategies and provide consistent, structured support to students who require additional guidance.



The Role:

  • Full-time position - Monday to Friday

  • Providing 1:1 and small group behavioural support

  • Supporting pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs

  • Contributing to the school's pastoral support provision

  • Implementing behaviour management strategies

  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive engagement in learning

  • Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs (essential)

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Two years' worth of references

  • A patient, resilient and consistent approach
