Join an outstanding independent SEMH and ASD specialist boys' school that is expanding due to increased pupil numbers. We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Early Years Teacher to challenge and support boys with Autism and/or Social and Emotional Mental Health Issues from Reception to Year 1
Day-to-day of the role:
- Secure high standards of teaching and learning within the classroom.
- Provide a disciplined and stimulating learning environment where all pupils feel safe and can succeed.
- Be highly motivated and enthusiastic about working with pupils with Autism.
- Lead interventions and strategies for ASC/BESD pupils.
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, promoting a culture of high expectations.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of schemes of work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Experience in delivering the primary curriculum.
- Proven experience working with children with SEN, ideally with a focus on SEMH.
- Ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire pupils to achieve and succeed.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Must be a driver with access to a vehicle due to the rural location of the school.
