Description
- Lead and optimise production operations across a 130-person manufacturing site.
- Introduce and embed lean manufacturing practices and performance metrics (quality, waste, efficiency).
- Develop and coach production management and frontline teams, building capability and engagement.
- Strengthen production systems, processes, and reporting structures to support growth and scalability.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and H&S to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable output.
- Play a key role in preparing the business for multi-site manufacturing.
Profile
A successful Production professional should have:
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.Proven track record in senior production or operations leadership within manufacturing.
- Experience of leading lean and continuous improvement programmes.
- Strong people leadership - able to gain trust, inspire change, and develop teams.
- Comfortable in a low-volume, high-variation / bespoke production environment.
- Ideally from timber, joinery, or building products, but open to wider manufacturing backgrounds.
- Resilient, pragmatic, and delivery-focused - capable of making a rapid, tangible impact.
