Production Engineer The Role
You'll play a key role in improving production processes, supporting new product introductions (NPI), and identifying areas for cost and efficiency gains. You'll also take ownership of key quality and manufacturing improvement projects across a busy, forward-thinking engineering environment.
Production Engineer What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the development of manufacturing processes to support new and existing product lines
- Identify and deliver cost-reduction and process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with production teams to solve root-cause problems using structured tools like 8D and FMEA
- Maintain accurate BOMs, SOPs, and technical instructions for the production floor
- Contribute to the NPI process by developing robust production strategies early in the design cycle
- Support cross-functional teams in delivering quality, cost, and delivery targets
Production Engineer What You'll Bring
- A degree or HNC/D in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- Experience working in a hands-on production or manufacturing engineering role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, root cause, continuous improvement)
- Proficiency with MS Office and CAD
- Experience with BOM creation, process documentation, and mechanical assembly
