
Production Technician (Mechanical)
Summary:
As a Production Technician (Mechanical), You'll apply your expertise in undertaking planned, preventative and condition based maintenance on a variety of mechanical and process control equipment, directly impacting our ability to meet customer demands.
This is a critical role for a hands-on professional who values safety and efficiency and being an integral part of a high performing team.
Main responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the planned maintenance of mechanical plant and water treatment related equipment including various types of pumps, motors, dosing equipment and water quality analysers to contribute towards the reliable and efficient operation of our production works and associated sites.
- Accurate and timely completion of all necessary administration associated with planned maintenance work including updates onto our business and work management systems.
- Work in line with company policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
- Routine administration (e.g. timesheets, health and safety forms, vehicle record sheets etc.)
- Planned replacement of obsolete mechanical plant and equipment.
- Capturing and recording site based asset information.
- Site manual updates and maintenance where applicable.
- Issue Permits to Work where required.
- Driving Company vehicles which may also include the towing of plant and equipment.
- Ensure sites are left in a clean and tidy condition upon completion of planned maintenance works.
You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- Qualified to City and Guilds with at least 3 years maintenance experience, HNC or hold a relevant technical qualification
- Medically able to work in confined spaces
- A valid clean driving licence.
- Previous experience of working with a planned maintenance schedule
- Highly organised individual with the ability to work under your own direction
- Confident using IT and computers
- Previous experience in the Water industry.

Compensation package:
£38,000 - £44,000 (dependent on experience) + Company Van
