Our client is a leading global provider of high-quality vacuum equipment, with a goal of enabling the innovation, creation and advancement of a vast array of products. A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Assurance Operative to join their hardworking and dedicated team in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable quality assurance experience within a production/manufacturing environment, hold an accredited qualification or possess proven experience of operating and maintaining quality management systems to ISO 9001 standards, be proficient in MS Office and databases and possess an excellent attention to detail.

As a Quality Assurance Operative you will assist in quality assurance duties, ensuring they are inline with the ISO 9001:2015. You will support all aspects of the quality management system, working alongside the Factory Manager to deliver on strategic company objectives and performance targets, improving the standards of quality compliance throughout the company.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Demonstrable experience within a Quality Assurance role within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Possess an accredited qualification or proven experience of operating and maintaining Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001 standards
  • Proven track record of delivering assigned actions within given timelines
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a methodical approach to daily tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Be proficient in MS Office and databases
  • Possess an excellent attention to detail

Your duties as a Quality Assurance Operative will include:

  • Controlling, maintaining and enhancing the existing Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015, including: information and document control, internal and external auditing, corrective and preventative action planning and data sharing
  • Undertaking Quality inspections of manufactured and bought in parts
  • Assisting with inspections/investigations of parts to establish any quality concerns, or business improvement opportunities
  • Maintaining visible Quality data throughout the company including graphs, metrics and charts, etc.
  • Taking ownership of any non-conformances, providing investigation reports, including managing existing action tracker logging and performance date
  • Providing up to date input on regulatory subjects, ensuring business alignment with customer compliance legislation
  • Promoting and driving a continuous improvement Quality programme that empowers all employees to participate in right first time manufacture, to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assisting with routine Management Review Meetings with all stakeholders, for the purpose of sharing related information and findings from inspections, audits, returns and policy updates

Monday Thursday, 8am 5pm and Friday 8am 4pm
