We are recruiting a Resident Engineer (Electrical Bias) to work on a healthcare contract in Brighton, for a well-established UK facilities management provider. This is a permanent, site-based role offering long-term stability within a highly regulated and essential services environment.

The Role

As the Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day electrical maintenance and operation of building services within a live healthcare setting. The role requires a proactive, safety-focused engineer who can work independently while supporting site compliance and continuity of service.

Shift Pattern

  • Equal time rota: 2 / 3 / 2
  • Annual Leave: 20 days per year


Key Responsibilities

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
  • Fault-finding and repair of electrical systems and associated plant
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, statutory, and health & safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
  • Liaise with site management and specialist contractors
  • Support a safe and reliable environment for patients, staff, and visitors


About You

  • Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or critical environment preferred
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work independently on site
  • Good understanding of compliance and safe systems of work
