Job Description: AOG Sales Executive
Location: Unit 2, Centron, Crompton Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9QR
This role operates a 12 hour shift, 9am to 9pm on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis.
£35,000 basic salary plus commission scheme.
We’re seeking a proactive and ambitious AOG Sales Executive to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team.
This role is ideal for someone with junior-level aviation sales experience who thrives under pressure and enjoys the challenge of finding rapid, effective solutions for time-critical customer needs.
A full clean UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
Full training will be provided in line with company procedures and aviation compliance standards.
Role Summary
Working as part of the AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Sales team, this role involves managing urgent aircraft component enquiries, coordinating with global sales, procurement, and logistics teams to minimise customer downtime.
Managing the full sales cycle from quotation to delivery, sourcing parts from approved suppliers, and liaising with internal teams to meet tight deadlines.
This role requires aviation sales knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple time-critical tasks under pressure.
Flexibility for out-of-hours support, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for urgent AOG enquiries, delivering fast, effective solutions to minimise aircraft downtime.
- Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high service standards.
- Source and procure aircraft components globally, maintaining supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality.
- Coordinate with logistics and shipping, including freight, export documentation, and customs clearance, to meet time-critical deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong international client relationships, providing outstanding service, technical support and after-sales care.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation.
- Negotiate commercial terms with customers and suppliers to support profitable, long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams across logistics, quality, and repair management to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and procurement activities in line with company procedures and aviation regulations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and decision-making.
- Participate in out-of-hours AOG support on a rotational basis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and internal processes.
- Participate in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance.
- Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Data Protection and all those contained in Employee Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are reasonable and appropriate to the job.
- Attention to Detail: Essential for accurate quotations, documentation, and compliance with aviation regulations.
- Organisation: Required to manage multiple urgent enquiries, coordinate logistics, and maintain clear records.
- Commercial Awareness: Important for negotiating terms, sourcing competitively, and identifying market opportunities.
