About AFML
AFML delivers Reactive & Planned Maintenance, Passive Fire Protection, Electrical Works and Project Services across Airport, Retail and Commercial environments. As we continue to expand into new regions and sectors, we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our business development activity and support the next phase of AFML’s growth.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Sales Manager with a strong background in Facilities Management and Construction Projects. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, securing new opportunities and strengthening relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

While your base will be our Crawley office, this role involves regular travel each week to airports, project sites and client offices across London, Oxford and the wider UK. This is not a desk-only position; visibility and face-to-face engagement are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AFML’s sales strategy, driving growth across FM, Maintenance and Projects
  • Build, manage and convert a strong sales pipeline across all divisions
  • Attend weekly client meetings, site visits and business development appointments
  • Identify and secure new opportunities with FM companies, retail brands, landlords and main contractors
  • Oversee tender submissions and coordinate with the internal QS, BD and Operations teams
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients and maximise cross-selling opportunities
  • Represent AFML at events, presentations and pre-start meetings
  • Provide clear reporting on pipeline, forecasts, wins and conversion performance
  • Support and help guide the internal BD/marketing function to ensure a unified approach

Experience & Requirements

  • Strong FM and/or construction project background
  • Demonstrable success in Sales, BD or Account Management roles
  • Experience working with FM providers, retail clients, main contractors or airport-based clients
  • Ability to understand technical scopes, project delivery requirements and maintenance services
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised, commercially minded and comfortable working autonomously
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel weekly

If you have the drive, experience and commercial mind-set to lead AFML’s sales direction, we would welcome your application.
