Our client is an established manufacturing company who specialise in the production of interior and exterior building products and systems. They are looking for Saw Operatives to join their hardworking and busy team in St Leonards on Sea.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a manufacturing production position, possess table saw experience, ability to read and understand technical drawings, spreadsheets and optimised cutting patterns, have an excellent attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude. As a Saw Operative you will be operating table saws, cleaning up panels after they have been cut and fabricated, moving finished stock around the factory as well as packing and sending the final products.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience within a similar position
- Possess an excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, spreadsheets and optimised cutting patterns
- Be able to work in a team but also independently using initiative
- Possess a can-do attitude
Your duties as a Saw Operative will include:
- Operating table saws
- Cleaning up panels once they have been cut and fabricated
- Moving panels round the factory
- Quality checking
- Packing and sending final products
- Adhering to company health and safety rules and procedures
- Maintaining a tidy workspace
Salary:
Up to £13.30 per hour
Hours:
- Monday Friday, 6am 2pm (moving on to afternoon shift from 2pm-10pm after a week of training)
- 40 Hours per week
