Are you passionate about education and confident in delivering engaging, practical, and well-paced sessions? Prospero Teaching are seeking dedicated Tutors and Subject Specialists to support learners who require alternative provision in Burgess Hill.



As a Tutor, you will:

  • Support young people who need between 2-15 hours of tuition per week.
  • Support learners with SEMH needs
  • Work with multiple learners, offering flexibility for full-time or part-time hours.
  • Deliver tailored sessions for learners from EYFS, Primary, Secondary, and Post-16.


Subjects Needed

  • Core subjects: Maths, English, Science
  • Other subject specialisms are also welcome (though roles may be less frequent).


About you:

  • Non-qualified teachers

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical, and well-paced lessons.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
      • Experience of working with learners with SEMH needs

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)

Salary range

  • £25 - £35
