
SEN Tutor
Prospero Teaching have a number of exciting opportunities for education professionals to work as Tutors supporting young people in the Brighton area. If you are passionate about helping learners achieve their potential, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Role:
You will provide tailored educational support to young people who may have additional needs such as:
- SEN (Special Educational Needs)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
- Trauma
- At risk of PEX (Permanent Exclusion)
Your role will be rewarding and impactful, helping learners overcome barriers and succeed in their education.
As a Tutor, You Will:
- Deliver personalised learning sessions based on individual needs
- Support engagement and build confidence in learners
- Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting strategies for complex needs
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
